Join Us
If you’re considering joining Congregation Etz Chaim, please visit us, tour the synagogue, meet our rabbis, speak with our Director of Lifelong Learning, and participate in our services. Give us a call at (630) 627-3912 to arrange a visit.
We are each part of a larger community as we navigate the highs and lows of our individual and family lives. The values and mission of our organization help touch the lives of our members in meaningful ways. We gain support, community, and inspiration in an organization that supports Judaism That Fits You.
Membership in Congregation Etz Chaim is not like belonging to any other organization. Our synagogue family embraces all who join us: sharing our backgrounds, experiences, and stories as we seek personal and collective meaning. Belonging to Congregation Etz Chaim reminds us that by giving something of ourselves to others we discover how much more purpose and perspective we receive in return.
Our membership dues are based on a fair share of income. We rely on the generosity of our members to sustain our vibrant community, but no one is turned away due to their financial circumstances. Our Executive Director and Financial Secretary work with each family privately to help them make a personally meaningful contribution based on their circumstances. We welcome anyone who supports our mission and aligns with our values, regardless of age, race, marital status, gender, sexual orientation, ability status, sensory needs, or financial means. We look forward to welcoming you! Explore more about Congregation Etz Chaim (CEC).
