Mi Sheberach List

Congregation Etz Chaim MiSheberach List

Our Jewish prayer for those who are ill, or in need of healing of mind, body or spirit, is the MiSheberach. Names provided in this form will be added to the list that we read at services when the Torah is read. Please only add names if you are a direct family member or have permission from the family, or friend, to submit their name. If someone wishes to remain anonymous, but wants to be on the list, you can also submit their Hebrew name. Please also indicate for how long you would like them to remain on our Mi Shebeirach list. Our list begins anew just prior to Rosh Hashanah and therefore we will ask you to resubmit names that you would like to remain on the Mi Shebeirach list.

Please share details on the reason the person is being added to the list.

The Caring Committee was formed many years ago to help those in need. This assistance includes, but is not limited to:
  • Bringing meals and/or providing gift cards for a meal
  • Giving Rides to/from the temple, a doctor’s appointment, etc.
  • Providing assistance for the coordinating of Shiva/Memorial service. This includes bringing the Temple’s 2 Shiva Boxes of supplies to the site of the shiva, as well as volunteering to attend the Shiva so that there is a minyan of 10 Jews for the service
As you may be one of the first people the congregant-in-need may speak with, we are asking you to gather as much information as you can. Of course, we understand that on occasion they may be in a state of mourning and it may be difficult for them to even know what they need. You will need to take each call as they come and use your best judgment.
