Shabbat Service (Lapidus & Myles)

Friday, September 27, 2024 24 Elul 5784

7:30 PM - 8:30 PMSanctuary

Get in the spirit of Selichot at this special Shabbat service led by Atlanta-based interfaith musical duo Lapidus & Myles: Music for People of Conscience

Micah Lapidus, reform rabbi and composer-in-residence at The Temple, and Melvin Myles, highly regarded soloist with the Historic Ebenezer Baptist Church Choir (former pulpit of Dr. MLK Jr.), believe in the power of music to unite us. Evocative of the longstanding ties between the Black and Jewish communities and a model for all people of conscience, their music is infused with a spirit of love, respect, peace, and justice.

Join us for this unforgettable Shabbat experience and remember what tikkun olam (repairing the world) is all about.
