CEC and Beth Shalom collaborative event

Are you looking to engage (or re-engage) in the Jewish movement to support reproductive freedom?

Please join us for an in-person gathering, this time at Beth Shalom in Naperville:

- Learn the details of Judaism’s teachings on reproductive freedom from Rabbi David Eber of Beth Shalom and Rabbis for Repro

- Get an update on NCJW initiatives and activities in the fight for reproductive justice and learn how to get involved from NCJW

- Contribute to the ongoing NCJW project of packing abortion aftercare kits for Planned Parenthood Aurora patients to provide a small source of comfort for those who have sought an abortion. 

Our goal this evening is to pack 250 kits. The total estimated cost is about $1100, which is $4.40 per kit. There are a few different ways to support this project:

- Go to this link to sign up to bring items to CEC between now and the night of the event like maxi pads, individual tissue packs, heating pads, tea bags, granola bars, chips, cookies, etc.

- If you cannot attend, or prefer to make a tax-deductible monetary donation so we can purchase items for the kits, go to this link to donate here.  Select "Tikkun Olam Fund" and add a note that says "Abortion Aftercare Kits."

Any overage of monetary donations will go towards our next packing event next spring, back at CEC.
