Join our discussion with Rabbi Estrin about the news and other topics like:
- How did we get here: Narratives of the 1900s
- Is Israel an apartheid state?
- The war with Iran, Hamas, Hezbollah, and others
- Israeli Hostages: Is any price too high?
By the conclusion of the class, we hope to understand Israel within a broader, timeless context. And maybe, in the process, we can figure out who we are as individuals, as a community, and as part of the Jewish people.
Our goal is understanding and empathy, not persuasion or agreement. We do not expect everyone to agree about everything—when have we ever?—but we will disagree with mutual respect (for the sake of heaven).
